"Astana Media Week"

On October 4, Media Week started in Astana. It was devoted to the development of the national media sphere and the promotion of business relations. We were invited, because we are beginning journalists and we need such information.

At 15:00 a conference began in Kazmedia. The program for us was led by the wonderful Mahabbat Esen, director of Mediaschool Kazmedia. She fascinated me from the first seconds of the performance. Maybe because she knew the Russian language incomparably. The Mahabbat was definitely in its field. She told the audience that this evening in front of us will perform 6 well-known and 1 secret speaker. Each speaker told to us a personal career story and share his experience.

The first to enter the stage was the charismatic Serik Akishev, the former presenter of Superstar.kz and the general producer of the show "Magic of the Kitchen" on the Khabar TV channel. All of his speech was headlined "The most important thing is content." If you provide quality content, people will find any way to get it.

The second was impressive Andrásh Barani, diplomat, Hungarian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. He told about the similarities of journalists and diplomats. He also told about the beginning of his career: at the age of 18 he went to work in the Hungarian radio because he needed in pocket money. In conclusion he shared the "formula for success": good colleagues + harmony in the family + aspiration.

Then there was the deputy director general of the STS for the promotion of the channel, Alexander Kostyuk. This speaker convinced the audience that television will not give way to the Internet. According to the new invention, peoplemetr, Kazakhstan is among the top countries (Belgium, Canada, Norway) with the highest number of viewers.

There were also representatives of the beautiful half of the media sphere - Ainur Kopbasarova, the author of rating TV programs, and Lyalya Sultankyzy, a well-known tele-mother. Women also shared their motivations.

But of all the speakers I was subdued by Mikhail Dorofeyev. More precisely, I was subdued by his performance. It looked like a stand-up. He began with the words: "My name is Mikhail Dorofeyev, I'm 45 years old and I'm a journalist". He told his career story and ended up with the same words. In general, it was great.

The secret speaker was Yernur Rysmagambetov. However, he is not a journalist, but a prize winner of international physics competitions. He talked about the way of life. His hobby is that every 5 years he changes the sphere of work. At first he was a physicist, then a financier and now he plans to become a journalist. I was shocked by his desire.

In general, the conference was very useful. I purpose, that each of those present was inspired by the stories of the people who had taken place, took the experience for themselves, and once again became convinced of the correct choice of the profession.
