On October 1, 2020, Utemisov Zhanibek, a 2nd-year doctoral student of the Faculty of Journalism and political science, department of printing and publishing, gave an online lecture to the group "printing and publishing -21" of the 2nd year of the bachelor's degree, major of printing and publishing of the faculty of Journalism and political science on the Topic: "The role of religion in youth education". (Teacher of the subject candidate of philological Sciences Muratbek Toktagazin).
The purpose of the class hour was to develop moral, Patriotic and moral values among young people, as well as scientific and educational ethics.
In modern Kazakhstan society, tectonic changes are taking place in the sphere of cultural, social and technological relations. As part of what is happening, modern youth must be instilled with spiritual and moral bonds. Young people who have fixed the foundations of moral values are more resistant to the moral threats of the modern world.
During the lecture, historical data were given on the spread of Islam in the Kazakh steppe, and that in the middle of the X century the Karakhanid Khanate declared Islam the official religion.
Then the lecturer and students analyzed with interest the religious studies works of Chokan Valikhanov and his letters written to his father. Chokan in his works carefully studied the issue of the religion of the Kazakh people.
Then, the audience discussed the works of Abay Kunanbayev, in which special attention was paid to the topic of morality and education. Abay Kunanbayev was a unique poet of the Kazakh people, who brought up the people of spirituality, morality and the principles of morality and religion.
During the class hour, the works of one of the founders of the Kazakh written literature and literary language Ibray Altynsarin were touched upon. In the proceedings of the meeting reflected the scientific and pedagogical matters of religion. It was also said about the role of figures of Alash movement from the point of view of science, education and art. Prominent figures of the movement took part in saving the Kazakh people from oppression, and called on the people to free themselves from ignorance.
In conclusion, it was noted about the role of intellectuals and statesmen of the state, who have made a great contribution to the revival and development of tolerance and spirituality in the country. Noting that spiritual bonds are the basis of the national identity and mentality of our country.
During the lecture, infographics and text were used and the goals were systematically achieved.
Using the method of questions and answers with the participation of the group teacher, the lecturer managed to keep a high level of student activity during the class. The specific examples used in the lecture were related to the practice and theory necessary for the profession of journalists.
