Honesty, objectivity, and professionalism are valued

Employees of the "Media Center of Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan" shared valuable experience with future journalists.

In Astana, within the walls of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, a meeting was held with Laura Kelisovna Zhakupova, General Director of LLP "Media Center of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," and Fariza Kasymzhankyzy Mukhametgali, editor-in-chief of the information site of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with third-year students of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science.
The event was full of interesting moments and aroused the keen interest of students in the work of journalists at the media center. After all, in the composition of LLP "Media Center of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan," there is not only the site "Polisia.kz" and the magazine of the same name, but also the newspapers "Saqshy," "On Guard," "Ardager," and a TV studio. The guests shared their rich practical experience and told the students about the intricacies of the journalism profession and the key points of career development. They frankly discussed with the students the challenges that modern journalists face on a daily basis, as well as the importance of such qualities as honesty, objectivity, and professionalism in their work.

At the meeting, which was held in a free format, teachers and students took an active part in discussing topical issues of journalism development in modern conditions. The future journalists were able to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers.

It should be noted that Laura Zhakupova is rightfully the pride of our university, where she studied and received a diploma in international journalism. She has 20 years of experience in television, radio, and print media. Currently, she is a TV presenter in the agency "Khabar," "Excellent Media Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan," "Best TV Presenter-2017," and a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Laura Kelysovna announced her initiative to recruit young talents to the "Media Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RK." This proposal gives the students of ENU in the direction of journalism a unique opportunity to cooperate with professionals and high-class experts in the field of media.

At the end of the event, teachers and students thanked the staff of the "Media Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for the transfer of valuable experience and knowledge to future journalists and noted that such meetings broaden their horizons.

The students were satisfied with the meeting with experienced professionals and plan to implement the knowledge gained in their future professional activities.
