Today, on 11.06.2021, the final conference on practice was held with the participation of the head and members of the Department, as well as responsible specialists and professional teaching staff of the Practice Department of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the Eurasian National University. During the conference, students of the 3rd course submitted a report on internship practice.

The students of Russian Journalism, English Journalism, Kazakh Journalism and CMM groups completed 2-week internship practice from 24.05.2021 to 05.06.2021, during which they acquired professional skills. As a result of the internship practice, the students mastered the skills of primary information collection for materials of various genre forms and preparation of material for publication; gained the ability to organize and plan their own workflow, taking into account the work schedule; make decisions within their competence and bear responsibility for them; were engaged in translation, correction, formatting of texts into other languages; studied the missions and features of television.

Dilnaz Nasekenova and some other students had an internship at the Khabar Agency JSC, where during the course they reviewed the work process of the TV channel and television in general. Students gained practical knowledge in creating storyboards and writing texts for TV, created their own TV stories, helped with the organization of shooting and established contacts with professional journalists, which gave them an experience and a deep understanding of this branch of journalism, as well as the opportunity to show themselves for the place of a future job.

Danagul Kabbasova of English Group had an internship at the International Technopark of IT Startups Astana Hub, where she also stayed to volunteer for experience and skills. During the practice, she used her knowledge in journalism and PR areas: understanding trending social networks, understanding current events in the field, designing news posts, writing competent text and creating an aesthetic visual.

Students also showed activity and interest in gaining practical experience, even if the place of practice limited them. One of the students, Maria Konyukhova in addition to the place of practice, collected material for publication and visited other places in parallel to gain practical experience, and such an initiative was noted and praised by the commission.

Students took a two-week internship in various places: newspapers, television, court, online portals. They published their works and were particularly diligent in completing tasks. Some students were invited to work after completing their internship and continued their activities.

The practice went well. The students completed the tasks and gained experience during the production practice. Materials were published for newspapers and online portals, and stories were created and filmed for television. The commission gave a good assessment of the students' work and gave instructions for the future.
