Representatives of the Department of Political Science took part in the IV Caspian Media Forum 2018 (Astrakhan, Russia)

The main media event of the Caspian region was held on September 19-20, 2018 in the city of Astrakhan (Russian Federation).

 

       The delegation of the Eurasian National University was represented by young scientists of the Department of Political Science:

• 2nd year Ph.D. student Zhuldyzay Iskakova, who presented report at the meeting of the Caspian Expert Club "The Caspian - Territory of the Future",

• 2nd year undergraduate Nurzhan Bolatuly,

• as well as 4th-year students Andrei Martynyuk and Kuanysh Marat.

 

      

In total, more than 250 representatives of the expert community and mass media took part in the event from 5 countries of the region: Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan. Delegation from Uzbekistan was represented for the first time.

       For the first time, the delegation from Uzbekistan was represented as an observer.

 

       Welcoming remarks were made by:

• Governor of the Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin,

• Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizade,

• Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakhan Ali Mohammadi,

• Head of the delegation of Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "RTRK" Kazakhstan" Serik Egizbaev,

• Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Bratchikov,

• Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Alexei Volin, etc.

 

       The forum is aimed to sharing experience, discussing new vectors for the development of regional and international media, creating a single information field for the countries of the Caspian region.

        The organizers of the event were the government of the Astrakhan region and the Caspian edition (redakciya) with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.
