The Scientific Council of the LN Gumilyov ENU from March 31, 2016 (Minutes No. 9) approved the Dissertation Council on Political Science (Specialties: 6D050200 Political Science, 6D050100 Sociology) for defending dissertations for awarding the Ph.D., doctorate in profile for 2016-2018.
The purpose and objectives of the Dissertation Council
Dissertation Council is an expert organization, collegial body, which holds the defense of dissertations of doctoral candidates and intercedes for them, - doctor PhD, doctor by profile.
In its activity, the dissertation council is guided with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Regulation on the Dissertation Council of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU from March 31, 2016.
The main tasks of the dissertational council:
· Development of scientific potential in the field of political science and sociology in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
· Increase of independence and objectivity of the state scientific certification of doctoral PhD students.
· Objective assessment of the results of dissertation research.
· Ensuring the uniformity of requirements for applicants for academic degrees and their dissertations.
· Analysis of the content and evaluation of submitted dissertations. Examination of works completed by doctoral students
· Carrying out of defense of dissertations of doctoral students.
· An application to the authorized body - the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic on awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), doctor in profile.
