On October 31, 2018, in continuation of the established tradition, a meeting of Tea & Politics in English with foreign students studying at the Eurasian National University was held at the Department of Political Science. L.N.Gumilev. This year, the theme of the meeting was the educational policy of foreign countries, whose students study today in our school, as well as the education system of Kazakhstan.
The organizers of this event were the lecturer of the department "Political Science" Dr. PhD Tyulebekova Dolores, as well as the first and second year students themselves studying in a foreign language.
The purpose of the round table is to organize interaction between students without a language and cultural barrier, exchange views and impressions regarding educational systems, the opportunity to talk about their country, culture and political structure of their home country. The meeting was attended by students from the USA, Turkey, Singapore, as well as Kazakhstani students of our university.
The informal atmosphere of the event “over a cup of tea” allowed the students to more openly share their impressions, ask questions of interest to the traditions and customs of Kazakhstan. Foreign students, in turn, prepared presentations from their universities. At the end of the event a friendly quiz "What do you know about Kazakhstan" was held.
