April 12-the holiday of scientists of Kazakhstan. On this day, the "Decade of Science", which traditionally takes place annually, will end. This year, the "Decade of Science", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the university, was held at a high level. The Department of Political Science summarizes and shares the results of international and national events within the framework of the"Decade of Science".
On April 2, a webinar was held on the topic "Mythodesign-as an information management technology". The event was held by a well-known political strategist, consultant, PhD, Professor of the Department of Political Psychology and International Relations of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Dragomanov, author of more than 60 scientific works on the topic of political psychology, Vsevolod V. Zelenin.
The webinar was attended by the head of the Department of Political Science of ENU Gabdulina B. A., teachers: Nurtazina R. A., Nechaeva E. L., Askeeva G. B., Dyusembekova M. K., Onuchko M. Yu., Kalenova T. S., Zhanpeisova K. D., doctoral students, undergraduates and students. During the event, there was a lively discussion about the development of mythical design in the post-Soviet space. The scientists shared their opinion about the socio-political processes from the point of view of the formation of modern myths. The participants of the webinar expressed positive feedback on the results of the lecture, and also expressed a desire to periodically hold such events.
On April 8, a webinar was held by the famous European scientist Tatyana Dronzina on the topic "The European approach to the project of a scientific article in Scopus journals". Speaker-Professor of the Sofia University of Bulgaria, Doctor of Political Science Tatiana Dronzina. The webinar "The European approach to the project of a scientific article in Scopus journals" was held for PhD students and the teaching staff of the Department of Political Science. The total number of participants was 30 people. The webinar was attended by the faculty, students, undergraduates, doctoral students of the Department of Political Science. The webinar was held at a high level and the students received valuable advice from Professor T. A. Dronzina. During the event, the issues of choosing journals for publication through the Scimagojr platform, the criteria of journals, the methodology of article preparation, as well as the technique of citation design were discussed.
On April 9, the Department of Political Science successfully held the international scientific and practical conference "Independent Kazakhstan: 30 years of stability and progress".
At the opening of the conference, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, Professor – Sak Kairat Omirbayevich, Head of the Department of Political Science, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Gabdulina Bagysh Akhmetovna, Professor of the Department of Political Science, Doctor of Political Sciences Nurtazina Roza Autalipovna addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.
The conference was also attended by a foreign guest, Professor of Kemerovo University, Doctor of Political Sciences Matveeva Elena Viktorovna. The plenary report of Professor Elena Matveeva was devoted to the issues of long-term cooperation between the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Kemerovo State University and the Department of Political Science of the Gumilyov ENU.

On April 12, the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science and Education–2021" was held among students and young scientists. The main goal of this conference is to develop the creative activity of students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young scientists, to increase the level of knowledge and to form close ties between future colleagues.
Within the framework of the conference, the student team of the Department of Political Science Inkash D. B., Mierbekova A. Zh., Muratova L. M., Aripbekova A. A., Belkenova N. S., Serik A., Temerbekova Zh., Uraltai Sh. took the first place in the competition of scientific projects.
