On October 1, the republican scientific seminar "Kazakh journals: history and experience, topical issues" was held at the Department of Printing and Publishing, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the magazine "AIKAP" and the 100th anniversary of the magazine "Akikat". The scientific seminar was opened by the head of the department Ashirbekova Gulmira Shaitmaganbetovna.
The event was attended by a member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Alash International Prize, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, famous journalist Zhanbolat Aupbayev, editor-in-chief of the republican magazine "Akikat" Daurzhan Tulebayev and lecturer of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD Altyn Akynbekova. The guests shared their thoughts about the magazines "Aikap", "Akikat", told about the history of the publication, the main directions, thematic and substantive features
Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, Professor Kairat Sak also spoke about the history of publications and its impact on national consciousness.
The seminar was attended by teachers and students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. The participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Press Media Department, who held a high-level scientific seminar.
