Media Festival Opening
March 26, at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, was held the opening of the XVI International Media Festival of children's and youth media "Under the lucky star: We live in a new world". The organizer is the NGO “Zhuldyz” together with the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the L.N. Gumilev ENU with the organizational and ideological support of the Committee on the Protection of Children's Rights of the MES RK.
The participants of the media festival were greeted by the president of the children's public organization “Zhuldyz”, professor Elena Dmitrienko and dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political science Kairat Sak. Also, the Charge d'Affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Enrique Antonio Acuña Mendoz, was invited as a special guest; he congratulated everyone on the opening of the XVI International Media Festival.
After the official part of the start of the event, a concert of creative youth, who came from different regions of our country, began. Young guys connected by one goal - this is an interest in the profession of a journalist, the development of creativity, performed at a concert. With their charisma they won the attention and support of the audience, and this is one of the important and necessary qualities on the way to knowledge of the media specialties.
Further, the event continued in a cognitive atmosphere - master classes on the basics of professional journalism began, the guys divided into groups and went to get knowledge, since several lessons were held at the same time. Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political science Professor Kairat Sak held a master class on the topic: “Modern trends in future journalists' training”. Deputy Dean of Faculty of journalism and political science , Associate Professor Gulzhaukhar Bolatova held a master class on the topic: « The role of journalism in the development of society». Associate Professor, Head of the Print Media and Publishing Departament Aitmukhambet Esdauletov, Professor of the Print Media and Publishing Department Asima Ishanova, lecturer Assemgul Smailova, the second-year master student Nargiz Mukatayeva conducted a master class on: « Creative workshop publicist and storytelling ». Head of the Department of Television and Radio Journalism and Public Relations of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science Rystina Indira held a master class on the topic: "Rules for preparing a presentation for building public relations".
So interesting and productive was the opening day of the media festival "Under the lucky star".

Media festival closing
March 28, the closing ceremony of the International Media Festival of children's and youth media "Under the lucky star: We live in a new world". The initiator and organizer, which is the NGO “Zhuldyz”, the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, is also the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NDP “Nur Otan”, the UN Children's Fund UNICE,. The festival was attended by the movement "ZhasMediaKZ". Provided congratulation message by president of the children's public organization “Zhuldyz” Elena Dmitrienko and the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political science Professor Kairat Sak hand out certificates to lecturers of the Faculty of Journalism who took part in master classes.
Deputy Dean of Faculty of journalism and political science, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Gulzhaukhar Bolatova was awarded with the badge of the special educational institution “Zhuldyz” “Golden Star. “For children” for the contribution and development of the children's social movement. The winners of "Yunkor 2019" were also awarded "Golden Pen" statuettes and signs "Modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity. A traditional video diary created by the participants of the 2019 festival was shown to everyone's attention.
The media festival brought together those who know firsthand about the difficult, but extremely interesting profession of a journalist. A journalist is one who daily fills the void with bright emotions! Young journalists still strive for professionalism, and the festival “Under the lucky star” helps them in this.
