Teachers and doctoral students of the Eurasian National University named after L.N.Gumilyov took part in the VIII Civic Forum

On November 27-28, the Eighth Civil Forum of Kazakhstan on the topic “Civil Society and the State” was held in Astana in the Palace of Independence with the participation of the Head of State. Teachers and doctoral students of the Department of Political Science of the Eurasian National University took part in the most important event of civil society.

 The main issue on the agenda of the VIII Civil Forum is the discussion of the draft Concept of development of civil society for 2020-2025. Participation in this event provided an opportunity for all stakeholders - non-governmental organizations, government agencies, the academic community, the business sector to share best practices and develop common approaches to addressing current agenda issues.

The forum was attended by 850 people, including heads of diplomatic missions, deputies of Parliament, leaders of Kazakhstan and international NGOs, representatives of government bodies and experts. For two days, there were 35 discussion platforms (training sessions, master classes, side events, hakaton, and others.
