April 23 at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for the first time a conference was held with the participation of Professor of the University of Southern California (USC) Henry Jenkins "The Digital Age: Peculiarities of Transmedia Technologies".
Henry Jenkins is a Provost professor at the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California.
Opening the conference, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Doctor of Law, Professor E.A. Ongarbaev thanked the American professor for participation in the conference and noted that international cooperation has always been a strategic direction for the university.
The organizer of the conference, Professor Ulbosyn Yessenbekova, expressed the opinion that the dynamic development of digital technologies has changed the life of every person, society and state beyond recognition, global communications have strengthened economic integration and increased the pace of social and technological development.
