«Current issues of combating human trafficking»

As part of teaching practice, 2nd year doctoral student of the Political Science Department Yekaterina Berkutova organized the participation of 2nd year undergraduate students in a round table on the topic «Current issues of combating human trafficking» (organized by the Institute for Public Policy of the «AMANAT» Party and the Institute of Parliamentarism).

During the event, which took place on October 27, a bill on combating human trafficking, which is being worked on in the Parliament of Kazakhstan, was discussed.

The discussion was attended by deputies of the Senate and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, international organizations and the non-governmental sector of Kazakhstan, foreign and domestic experts.

Students had the opportunity to become familiar with the issues of human trafficking and the peculiarities of the legislative process in Kazakhstan.
