A doctoral student of the Department of Political Science held an open lesson on the topic "The role of integration of Turkic-speaking countries in world politics"

On November 8, 2023, within the framework of pedagogical practice, a second-year doctoral student of the Department of Political Science, S.N. Kazikhanova, held an online open lesson in the form of a lecture on the topic "The role of integration of Turkic-speaking countries in world politics" for second-year students studying in the specialty "Political Science". The open lesson was attended by Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor T.S.Kalenova. And also, as guests were participated the Adviser to the President of the International Turkic Academy – Seksenbai Tleuzhan Sadykbekovich and Deputy Director of the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Master of International Studies at the University of Sheffield and researcher J.Washington – Elmira Assan.

At the lecture the main directions of development of Kazakhstan's policy with Turkic-speaking countries were discussed, its strategic interests and the role of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Organization of Turkic States was considered. The lecturer pointed that each of the Turkic-speaking countries, as well as the association, plays an important role in the international arena and is able to influence the course of events in world politics and economy.

During the lecture, students actively participated in the discussion and paid special attention to the role of Kazakhstan in cooperation with Turkic-speaking countries. The discussion highlighted the importance of the strategic goals of the Organization of Turkic States. The students expressed interest in geopolitical issues, the development of education and science and economic sectors between the Turkic countries and focused on the key aspects of Kazakhstan's foreign policy in this context.
