On April 7, the 2nd year students of the Department of Printing and Publishing of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science met with Alibek Askarov, a well-known publisher, journalist, writer, novelist, and public figure. The guest of the meeting was Nurlan Sarsenbiyevich Isabekov, General Director of the Foliant publishing house. The meeting was chaired by Dean K. Sak of the Faculty himself.
Gulzada Abylkairova, a graduate of Gumilev Eurasian National University, presented her book "Journey Sketches of Alibek Askarov", about a master of the safari genre and winner of the State Prize, Alibek Askarov. The book is published with the support of the "Foliant" publishing house. In her book, Gulzada told not only about Alibek Askarov's safari travel sketches but also about the beautiful nature of Kazakhstan. It is worth mentioning that at the meeting Alibek Askarov shared his memoirs about his time at the National Academic Library and his experience. He answered questions from students. He presented some of his work to the university.
