Ramadan is the month of spiritual values

Ramadan is the most famous month of the lunar Islamic calendar. It is the ninth blessed month—a time of humility and fasting.
On this occasion this week, Tokabaeva B.M., a teacher at the Department of Printing and Publishing, organised an iftar for students and teachers to promote kindness and charity among young people. Iftar is an evening meal for Muslims during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
The Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, Kairat Sak Omirbayuly, was the first to speak. He congratulated the students on the holy month of Ramadan and wished them all the best.
Also invited as a guest was famous imam and religious scholar Nurlan Asanov, who has become a "star" on social media. With the blessing of the Imam, Nurlan delivered a spiritually valuable sermon on various topics for young people.
Azamat Yeskulov, the actor of the "Zhastar" theatre, was invited as a guest of the spiritual evening, told Zharapazan (Zharapazan is a religious and didactic genre of Kazakh folklore, a calendar, and a ritual song), and praised our forgotten traditions.
The students were also active, singing songs and reciting poems.
