An open practical lesson on the topic "Punctuation. 7 criteria that do not obey the language norm"

On November 25, 2022, Nurai Kurakpaeva, a 2nd-year master's student of the Department of Printing and Publishing of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, organized an open lesson on the discipline of Ph.D., Professor S. E. Tapanova "Culture of Language" on the topic "Puntuation. 7 criteria that do not obey the language norm." Earlier, when checking the written works of students, it was noticed that most of them make mistakes precisely by the signs of recollection. To do this, at the initiative of the students, a separate lesson was devoted to the rules of instruction, which was explained in detail to the students. First, the topic was explained in detail using a slide, and then by solving the test and writing a dictation in a practical lesson, it was checked how well the students had mastered the material. The purpose of the lesson is to teach future journalists to write accurately and clearly, while avoiding gross mistakes.

Along with punctuation, we touched on the topic of the language of culture and stopped at 7 criteria that do not obey the language norm. Since the ability to correlate one's thoughts with logic, mastering the requirements for the formation of spelling norm skills in writing is important for students, we have dwelt in detail on each rule and spelling. During the lecture, they talked about the richness of thought related to language, the socio-social functions of language, the importance of the national language in public relations, the language of social communication, the culture of using words. We paid special attention to the styles that took place during the semester, including conversational style, formal business style, scientific and artistic style.

And in order to understand how well the students have mastered the new topic, a dictation was conducted during the practical lesson. Also, the past material was fixed and verified by an online presentation through the "Kahoot" platform. They performed all the tasks with interest, showed their activity. Finally, as a result of the game, the winning students were determined. The open practical lesson was interesting and brought benefits to the students.
