On August 21, 2021, Akniet Zhanysbaeva and Meruert Kumarova defended their doctoral dissertations at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science of the Eurasian National University under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Dissertation Council, Professor Kairat Sak.
Scientific advisers: Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Printing and Publishing of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Menlikul Shindalieva and Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Intercultural Communication Uldanay Bakhtikireeva (Russian University of the Commonwealth of Peoples). The dissertation analyzes the activities of the regional media, including the specifics of the development of the regional press, topical problems and the impact of current political processes on the Kazakh audience.

2018, May 3, by the decision of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (order No. 703), the lecturer of the Department of Press and Publishing Toktagazin Muratbek Balkybekovich was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Associate Professor).
